Sword Dancer
...is an older piece I've returned to since the crash, and jumps between the Bull Courts of ancient Mycenae and the Greece of modern day.
When a pair of acolytes in service to the Bull Court stumble into a plot to kill a Mycenaean noble, they inadvertently change the course of history. But legends grow with the retelling, and not everyone is so willing to forgive and forget the failed assassination. Especially not the would-be killer.

Children of Nuit
...is a new piece just getting on its feet. It was started on a new disk, and thankfully safe from the disaster that wiped out everything else.
Children traces the work of the Yewes-Ser, an 'historical society' seeking evidence of the immortal beings of legend living in the modern day and its inevitable collission with an isolated Bedouin tribe sworn to keep the secrets of their people precisely that: secret. Tears & Frustration
*Something* killed my backup ZIP drive, and in the process wiped everything I'd had saved to said disk at the time of the crash. And I mean completely wiped, as in the computer doesn't even read it as an empty formatted or unformatted disk. It's as though the disk itself doesn't exist when you insert it in the new drive. Being the backup copy, it shouldn't have been such a big deal...except that just prior to that my hard drive crashed and lost the original. Ergo, *everything* I've worked on sin… Continue

First off I'd like to say to all the writers and poets, stories for now will have to be in blogs. Because I'm new to this I dont know how to add a story section.
Photos are easy to upload if you click on the photo section.
To add someone as a friend or to send them a message go to their page and it should have a button underneath their picture.

Reasons You Could Get Banned
I do have the power to ban anyone on this site. I will only ban people that I have a good reason to ban.
The reasons are:
-If you add a picture that is NOT yours.
-If you add a story or poem that is NOT yours.
-If you do not add any artwork, stories, or poems, by the end of your first month (this is a site made for art not popularity)(message me if you are having problems uploading things or want help with a copyright or watermark)
-If you use racist or prejudice remarks
-If you are being purposely mean and fighting with someone for no reason and do not bring the issue up to me or cause drama or problems

IT'S DROWNING ARTS B-DAY! To celebrate we will have a few small contests, the new poetry book, the new book Beautiful Death coming out in less than two weeks! AND a new layout for www.drowningarts.com which you should definitely check out because it is amazing!

Although PD was only made a little bit ago we do have some new things. Musicians can now join and upload their music to the site for people to hear. If you like to make videos you can now upload those to the site as well! No one has done it yet so I'm not exactly sure how it works but I'm sure someone will figure it out and when they do I will put it in a how-to section that will be in thelower left hand corner bottom of the page soonNOW!!
Also you can now create a group that other members of PD can join. Groups can be anything from an interest you have or just a group of your friends!
So be sure to check the updates out and message me if you have any questions!

POETRY CONTEST. MY FRIEND AND I ARE MAKING A ‘TESTERIFFIC COLLECTION OF POETRY’ AND WE NEED 50-150 POEMS TO PUT INSIDE. LOOK BELOW FOR INSTRUCTIONS!
1 – Poems can be about any subject.
2 – The poem must be under forty lines.
3 – All entries are due before Drowning Arts First Anniversary which will be March 4. Entries due MARCH 4
4 – It may be in any font of any color.
5 – Email it to contests@drowningarts.com
6 – In your email, put POETRY CONTEST as the title, and put your email in the body or attach the file. Also add your name (first and last) and address.
7– If you have any questions feel free to email at any time.
WINNING PRIZES
First Place – A free copy of the published poetry book with their poem on the first page and their personal bio on the page next to it.
Second Place – Their poem on the second page with bio next to it.
Third, Fourth, and Fifth Place – Get their poems on the following pages.
All other people will be placed randomly throughout the book.

HOW-TO'S
Here's the how-to section of the site. This section will teach you how to use all of our features, if something isn't mentioned that you think should be message me and let me know.
+Joining+
Just click the sign up button in the upper right hand corner and fill out the information it asks for! After you finish that you have to wait for me to approve you as a member, as soon as I do you're ready to go!
+Adding Pictures+
Go to the photos section of the top menu list and click 'Add Photos Of My own' After that everything is already explained!
+Adding Videos+
Go to the videos section and click 'Add Videos' After that everything is already explained!
+Adding Music+
I'm not quite sure how to add music yet but if someone figures it out please message me and let me know!
+Adding A Group+
Go to the Groups section of the top menu and click 'create a group' It should explain it from there!
+Joining A Group+
No groups have been made yet so I'm not positive but when I find out I will put it up here!
+Rating A Photo+
On the right hand side of the picture you're looking at their should be a picture of the person who made it. Underneath that there should be a button saying 'Rate' click it and then click on the number of stars that you would like to give the picture!
+Adding A Picture to Favorites+
Underneath the picture you are looking at there should be a button saying "Add to Favorites" Click that.
+Sending A Message+
Go to the persons page that you want to message and underneath their picture should be a button saying "Send a Message"
+Reading A Message+
At the very top of your screen in the crimson bar there should be a tiny picture of an envelope next to your name. That will tell you if you have new mail. Click that to read your mail, send messages, reply, or read old messages.
+Accepting A Friend Request+
At the very top of your screen in the crimson bar there should be a tiny picture of a little person. If it is bright you have a new friend request. Click it to see them.
+Adding Someone As A Friend+
Go to the page of the person you want to add and underneath their picture there should be a button saying 'Add as a friend' or something close to that. Click it.
